Through Painted Deserts
I’m curently reading the book Through Painted Deserts, by Donald Miller. I guess I posted a quote from him yesterday so this might be obvious. But it’s weird to be reading this book at the moment, because it talks a lot about a trip that he took to the Grand Canyon and his experiences hiking it and how massive it is, how much it made him evaluate all the baggage that he was carrying,...

Me: this soup is delicious! What is is?

Me: (tentatively) What's Ox Tail?
Chris: The Tail of an Ox. You know, Cow Tail.

Dinner
Chris and Kingsley just went with our cook Paula on a shopping spree and came back with all kinds of groceries and the fridge is now stocked with Jamaican food. I just tried Bun and Cheese, a favorite of Kingsley’s from his childhood, and it was DELICIOUS. Sweet bread and sharp cheddar - yum. I can’t wait for dinner. Paula is seriously HAMMERING some chicken wings. And we are having...
